Ranbir's parents’ reaction about his girlfriend was reportedly a big 'Yes!'

Bollywood’s star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s romance has been the talk of the town ever since the former confirmed their relationship in May. The Student of the Year star has reportedly received a nod from Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, who has apparently not taken a liking to any of his previous girlfriends, reported Times of India.

According to the publication, a source close to Ranbir’s family has opened up about their reaction to his fast-growing romance with Alia.

The insider stated that the Sanju star’s father, Rishi Kapoor has never disapproved any of his former lady loves, be it Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone. “He has been cordial with all of them,” mentioned the source.

Neetu, on the other hand, hasn’t been very approving of her son’s choices. While she apparently didn’t get along with Deepika or Katrina, Alia has won her heart over. The source added that as far as Neetu is concerned “Ranbir and Alia’s marriage is a done deal” and her reaction about having Alia as her daughter-in-law is a big “Yes”!

Interestingly, if reports are to be trusted, the Bhatt and Kapoor families feel that Ranbir and Alia should take the plunge soon. Speaking about the same, if all goes well, the marriage is rumoured to take place sometime next year. The source also revealed that Alia will continue working post-marriage, breaking the tradition of Kapoor bahus giving up their careers like Kareena Kapoor Khan’s mother Babita and Neetu did.

Speaking about Ranbir earlier, Alia said, “I would definitely say that I’m fascinated by the kind of person he is, with his vibe and behaviour. He is a really rare person and in the years that I have been alive, I haven’t seen many such people.”
