Kareena, Ranveer, Alia to star in KJo's upcoming period drama

Untitled project is reportedly a two-hero, three-heroine love story

Film-maker Karan Johar's mission to join hands with actor Kareena Kapoor has not been accomplished yet. He reportedly approached the Ki & Ka star for Aishwarya's role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, but things didn't quite work out, reported DNA India.

However, the Kal Ho Naa Ho director is trying his luck again with Kapoor, hoping to collaborate with her for his upcoming period drama, which will apparently be set in the Mughal era.

Reports provide that the untitled project is a two-hero, three-heroine love story starring a stellar cast with two of those five already roped in. Along with Kapoor, actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will also be working with Johar. Along with being a love saga, the film will also tell a tale of brother-rivalry.

The role for Singh's younger brother was allegedly offered to Bhatt's beau actor Ranbir Kapoor which he turned down and thus, is still vacant. Reports suggest that Judwaa 2 star Varun Dhawan is a possible option but no confirmation has been received.

Bebo has reportedly been roped in to play the role of Singh's sister while Bhatt will feature opposite the Padmaavat star. Johar has already finalised the film's script which is expected to to release in April, 2019.
