Unidentified armed men shot and killed a forty-year-old Nadeem Akbar

KARACHI: Two police officers were shot dead in drive-by shooting late on Friday. In the first incident, unidentified armed men shot and killed a forty-year-old Nadeem Akbar in Sharah-e-Faisal police precincts. SHO Mohammad Sharukh told The Express Tribune that the deceased was an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and was standing near his residence in Zikri Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar when unidentified men targeted him. The officer said that the deceased was posted to the Anti Violent Crime Unit after his transfer from Motorway police four months ago. In another incident, unidentified assailants killed another ASI, identified as 39-year-old Javed Iqbal in Orangi Town. He was posted to the intelligence wing of the Iqbal Market police station and was shot dead when he was returning to his residence located in Metrovile. Our Correspondent
