The body of a Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) worker with a slashed throat has been found from Karachi’s Landhi area on Sunday, Express News reported.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Tabish, who was a resident of Khurramabad, local police say.

The perpetrators tried to dispose off his body in an empty water tank, however, they failed to do so, a local police official said.

“He had a child from a marriage which ended seven months ago and had a case registered against him for carrying unlicensed arms,” SP Landhi told.

He added that Tabish had also been arrested by police before.

“Initial reports suggest that he was killed owing to a personal enmity,”the police official said.

Police have registered a case in this regard and an investigation is underway.

On August 2, police arrested four suspects for allegedly raping and murdering a minor in the port city.

The seven-year-old’s body was found from the city’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar locality and medical reports confirmed she had been strangled and sexually assaulted.

Four people, including the prime accused Shahid Mehmood were arrested and some of those arrested include the victim’s close relatives.
