LAHORE: Former Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif ignored the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) summon in a case against illegal appointments in the Punjab Power and Development Company (PPDC) on Monday.

NAB Lahore had summoned him in the case and told Shehbaz to submit his reply before a combined investigation team (CIT) at the NAB complex in Thokar Niaz Beg. He was accused of illegally appointing Syed Farrukh Ali Shah to NEPRA as a member and in PPDC as CEO.  During his previous appearance before NAB on July 4, Shehbaz had been handed questioners over the allegations. He was supposed to submit the replies on July 16, (Monday) but he did not appear.

A senior officer of NAB said that they would summon him again in the case soon.
