LAHORE: A seven-year-old Pakistan girl who went to India for heart treatment died. Her body was brought back home through Wagah border, Express News reported.

A resident of Faisalabad, Zainab Mujahid was suffering from a heart condition. Her parents had made efforts for her treatment in Pakistan but to no avail.

Doctors had advised them to visit to India for the treatment, after which Zainab was taken to a private hospital in Ludhiyana.

Zainab had three holes in her heart, she underwent surgery yesterday with the doctors declaring 24 hours extremely critical.

The girl's father told Express News they had flown Zainab to India with a hope she will get treatment and will return home healthy but she didn't gain consciousness after surgery.

He further said Pakistani embassy had assisted them a lot in this regard.
