Police arrest six drug peddlers

BAHAWALPUR: Police claimed to have arrested six drug peddlers from different localities of the district and recovered liquor, cannabis and hashish from their possession.

Police sources said a joint team of Dera Nawab and Ahmedpur Sharqia police stations conducted a raid and arrested two drug peddlers, besides recovering 60 bottles of liquor and 18 kilogrammes of cannabis from their possession. Musafir Khana police raided a house in Khanqah Sharif area, arrested a drug peddler and recovered 540 grams of hashish from his possession.

Fake currency, pickpocketing on rise in Bahawalpur

In third police action, police recovered 30 bottles of liquor from a car travelling from Bahawalpur city to Sama Satta town and arrested three drug peddlers. Police have lodged cases against the accused and launched investigation.
