KHANEWAL: At least two people were shot dead while 11 others were injured in a clash between two groups in Khanewal. Police said members of Sohal group had a dispute with Wahla group over political issues. On the day of the incident, the members of both groups came face to face and exchanged harsh words. Later, both groups exchanged fire, resulting in the death of two people, while 11 others suffered bullet injuries. The deceased were identified as Shaukat Sohal and Azam. Eyewitnesses stated that the clash erupted after the group members argued. Jahanian police failed to avert the situation despite being informed of the situation before start of the clash, they added. Meanwhile, three individuals critically injured were transferred to Nishtar Hospital Multan from Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Jahanian. Police have registered a case and started investigations.
