Gearing up for polls: Abbottabad returning officers take oath

ABBOTTABAD: Sofia Waqar Khattak, a district and sessions judge in Abbottabad and the district returning officer, on Friday, administered the oath of office to returning officers and assistant returning officer of Abbottabad.

These officers will oversee election activities in the two national and four provincial assembly constituencies during the upcoming elections.

At the conference hall of the Abbottabad Sessions Court on Friday, oaths were taken by Returning Officer for NA-15 Ahmed Iftikhar, for NA-16 Nisar Muhammad Khan, For PK-36 Zaeem Ahmed for PK-37 Naveed Ahmed, for PK-38 Umar Azmat, for PK-39 Sardar Jawad. The assistant returning officers who took oath included Muhammad Tanveer for NA-15, Arshad Pervez for NA-16,  Javed Khan for PK-36, Imran Ullah and Iftikhar Ahmed for PK-37, Muhammad Usman and Dr Inyatur Rehman for PK-38 and Sardar Muhammad Nawaz and Iftikhar Ali Shah for PK-39.
