Man lost his life as doctors perform wrong operation

MIAN CHANNU: A man, who was injured during a fight, allegedly lost his life when doctors performed wrong operation in Mian Channu. Mian Channu justice of peace has summoned Tulamba police station SHO and sought a reply from him over the matter as he refused to register a case against those involved.

Officials said Saifullah Satho, a resident of Chak No 17, filed a petition in the court of justice of peace and adopted the stance that accused Riaz, Irfan Haider and others beat his brother Fazalur Rahman with iron rods due to which he suffered severe injuries on his stomach. After the incident, the victim’s tests were conducted at rural health centre Tulamba.

He stated later, Dr Rizwan Abid and Dr Abdul Saeed, who were posted in sub-district hospital Mian Channu brought the victim to a private hospital where doctors carried out an incorrect operation leading to the victim’s death.

He maintained despite receiving a request, the SHO Tulamba refused to register a case against the accused persons upon which the justice of peace summoned a reply from Tulamba SHO on May 14.

Earlier, a man died of cardiac arrest following a scuffle at Lahore’s Services Hospital. Police said a heated argument erupted between Sunil and hospital staff after his sister was admitted to the facility. The men later came to blows. Sunil reportedly died of cardiac arrest following the brawl.
