According to the Kashmiri media service, occupation forces used unconstitutional means to disperse a protest organised on Friday.
Door-to-door raids were conducted and dozens of youth were taken in custody. Meanwhile, the Hurriyet leader was barred from public activity after the police placed him under house arrest.

Mirwaiz was scheduled to deliver a speech at the protest organised outside Jama-e-Masjid in Srinagar after Friday prayers.
The valley of Srinagar continues to appear like a battleground. The Indian forces have set up check posts everywhere whereby elderly people and children are made to go through 'checking'. Internet service has also been barred in so-called sensitive areas.

Last week Indian forces conducted a search operation which left 15 Kashmiri youth including a university professor martyred. Women, children and elderly Kashmiris also became the target of police brutality in the search operation.
The Hurriyet leader had announced a demonstration to detest these killings and acts of terror.
