LAHORE: Janoobi Punjab Soobah Muhaz by joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has exposed the conspiracy being hatched against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, said provincial minister Zaeem Qadri.

He said that the front is not jumping ship for creation of a separate province from Punjab but for their personal gains. He added that these people want their political hegemony over the entire southern region which was not possible in PML-N. The Punjab minister added that PML-N has fulfilled all promises made with the people of southern Punjab. “New hospitals, schools, colleges and reconstruction of over 5,000 km of paved roads prove our commitment towards the people of southern Punjab”, he stated

Moreover, Zaeem also said that feudal lords want their control over southern Punjab and that many people in JPSM have enjoyed sitting in treasury benches for long.

“They are only using the demand for Southern Punjab as an election card”, he said adding that these lawmakers did nothing when they had the chance.

Several leaders of JPSM have been called to Islamabad for an expected joint press conference with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan.

Former PML-N MNA Rana Qasim Noon said that they will be joining PTI with strength of 30 plus parliamentarians of which 21 to 22 were parliamentarian of the current tenure whereas nine were former parliamentarians.

“More parliamentarians will soon join JPSM and we will continue having an independent identity even after joining PTI”, said Noon.

Former PML-N MPA Karam Dad Wahla said that PML-N and PPP have had their turns in government but have done nothing for our cause but PTI has shown its resolve towards our demand.
