Family dispute: Woman allegedly ends life after poisoning daughters

FAISALABAD: A woman allegedly committed suicide after poisoning two of her daughters over a family dispute in Faisalabad.

A police official told Express News that 32-year-old Rubina Bibi, a resident of Bilal Chowk, had an argument with her husband over a family dispute.

He added that in sheer frustration, the woman consumed poison and also served it to her daughters. As a result, Rubina died while her daughters were shifted to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.

The police have taken the body into custody and initiated investigation.

Meanwhile, the deceased woman’s brother has alleged that his sister was poisoned by her husband Shahid. He demanded of the police to arrest the accused and register a case against him.

Earlier, a woman ended her life after poisoning her two minor daughters in the limits of Jaranwala police station.

The police said that Reema Bibi, wife of Farhan Bashir and a resident of Mohallah Rasheed Park, consumed poisonous pills after serving it to her two minor daughters over a domestic dispute. As a result, all the three died on the spot.

In another incident, Muhammad Hassan, a student of class ninth, was stabbed to death by his friends over a dispute.

The police said that the deceased boy had a dispute with his friend Muhammad Azfal Baloch over mobile phone.

In a bid to take revenge, Afzal and his friends stabbed Muhammad Hassan, injuring him critically.

He was rushed to a hospital but he could not survive. The police have arrested the accused registered a case against him.
