LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has imparted training to women from different walks of life on use of women safety android application features designed for improving security and thus the quality of social lives of women in Lahore metropolis

This android application is a popular culture technological extension of a stern PSCA security grid offering surveillance which offers preemption and swift emergency response through integrated police and rescue services.

The android app is available at Google play store for download and has been categorically designed keeping in mind the notion of ease and understanding the users with a smartphone
and little to moderate android savvy.

A female official of PSCA Jannat Manzoor convened an initial meet-up of select women thriving in various social streams and demonstrated to them in details the proper use of the app features in the backdrop of social issues and heinous crimes, facing women, such as sexual assaults, acid assaults, harassment and misogyny and authority's countermeasures in-line with the Women Protection Bill.

All their questions and queries were answered Police Response Protocols personnel and the whole act of securing help was carried out in the spirit in various mock exercises entailing different situations.

The women participants felt overwhelmed and really empowered as they expressed great approval of the access to the unprecedented and easy-use app. The training and awareness session concluded with distribution of certificates amongst the participants.
