Increasing number of saplings from 300,000 to 500,000 will be planted during the Spring Tree Plantation Drive 2018, in order to bring a change in the overall environment of the city. This target is to be further enhanced during the Monsoon Tree Plantation Drive. Mayor of Islamabad, Shiekh Anser Aziz expressed these views while planting a sapling at the green belt of Zero-point. He said forest fires affect a large number of trees at Margalla Hills every year and in order to compensate this loss, a campaign has been initiated to plant more trees at the Margalla Hills so that beautiful Hills could be made more lush green.
