FAISALABAD: Strong academia-industry linkages are essential to fight the challenges of the modern era and to alleviate poverty from the country.
This was said by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar while addressing a seminar titled “Academia-industry linkages for applied research.”
Dr Iqbal Zafar said that strengthening ties between academia and industry will help raise people’s income, their way of living and will eliminate the poverty. He said that one idea can change society.
He urged researchers to work on real issues. Experts should come up with out-of-the-box solutions to problems of the general public, industry and farming community, he said.
