According to Express News, a PESCO team cut off the electricity for MNA Dogar's house after a power theft case was registered against the lawmaker in Multan. The case was registered under the Electricity Act 4623 under the supervision of WAPDA's sub-divisional officer (SDO) Mohammad Imran.
SDO Imran recorded his statement, and said that the meter on MNA Dogar’s property was not functioning. After a raid was conducted, it was found that the PTI leader was stealing electricity for the last 6 years.

During meter reading at the premises, three air conditioners and other electrical appliances were fully functioning. Lahore’s Meter Testing Laboratory has also acknowledged the power theft officially.
However, the PTI leader denied allegations of theft. He said he was being framed as a result of politics, and he was being targetted by people from within his own ranks and rivals as the ticket-distribution period was near before the general elections.
He claims the allegations were levelled against him to ruin his reputation and claimed that he had constructed his house in December, but that despite the accusations having no proof, he will have to face the courts.
