Former Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed has rejected corruption charges leveled against him for his alleged role in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal.
The left-handed batsman was charged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in February after the arrival of fresh evidence from United Kingdom.
Jamshed was charged for five breaches of the PCB’s anti-corruption code’s under Article 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3, 2.1.4 and 2.4.4.

Following Jamshed’s response, PCB chairman Najam Sethi referred the matter for adjudication to an anti-corruption tribunal, comprising of three members; Chairman Justice (Retd) Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan, Shahzaib Masood and former cricketer Aqib Javed.
Jamshed is believed to be the main schemer behind the spot-fixing scandal that rocked the second edition of the PSL last year but the 28-year-old has denied any wrongdoing.
Former Islamabad United opener Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif received five-year bans for their part in the scandal, whereas Karachi Kings opener Shahzaib Hasan was handed a one-year ban.
