Decline in natural product research becomes concern

FAISALABAD: It is a matter of grave concern that pharmaceutical industry research in natural products has declined, creating different challenges.

This was stated by experts at the inaugural session of the workshop “Bioassays for exploration of bioactive” which was arranged by Department of Biochemistry, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), a press release issued on Tuesday stated. The session was chaired by Faculty of Sciences Dean Dr Muhammad Asghar, while Department of Biochemistry Chairperson Dr Khalilur Rehman, Dr Muhammad Shahid, Dr Amir Jamil and others also attended the session.
