International Moot: Changing teaching trends discussed
HEC Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed urged teachers to ensure character building of students
Use of information technology has changed teaching trends and educational process across the world, speakers said at a two-Day International Conference on Professional Development in Higher Education:’ Trends and Practices, Prospects and Innovations’. The changing pedagogical techniques require professional development of faculty and teaching staff, they said at the opening ceremony of moot organised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), in collaboration with Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi at HEC Secretariat on Monday. HEC Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed urged teachers to ensure character building of students and teach them social values and ethics. He added that apart from imparting education, it is also the responsibility of teachers to groom students.
