PSQCA officials raid paint factories in the provincial capital and sealed three illegal paint units

LAHORE: The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) launched a crackdown against all sub-standard, unlicensed and illegal products being sold in the market.

On special directions of Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Rana Tanveer Hussain, the PSQCA officials raided paint factories in the provincial capital and sealed three illegal paint units on Monday. The authority has constituted a special taskforce that confiscated huge quantity of prepared paint stocks during the raid.

Quality control watchdog warns of crackdown

The PSQCA announced launching a crackdown against all unlicensed and illegal manufacturing units in all sectors. It has also issued notices to various outlets selling stocks of illegal companies.

A spokesperson of the authority said the federal minister had directed the PSQCA officials to launch crackdown against illegal brands. The minister added that no illegal or unregistered brand products could be allowed for sale in the market.
