The judgment was announced by ATC Judge Traiq Mehmood Zargham. The prosecution told the court that on September 21, 2017, Jauharabad police conducted a raid at a house in Soon Valley and arrested accused Sarfaraz Ahmad.
The police also seized explosive material, including a hand grenade from his possession. The police registered a case against the accused under terrorism act and presented challan in the court.
During proceedings of the case, the accused was found guilty and was awarded 28 years rigorous imprisonment. The judge also ordered to confiscate the property of the convict.
Earlier, an anti-terrorist court awarded 28 years jail imprisonment to an accused for possessing explosives in Sargodha.
