Nullah cleaning: CCB gets head start for monsoon preps

All available resources utilised to save precious lives and properties of the citizens

RAWALPINDI: In preparation for the monsoon season the Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) has completed its annual dredging and desilting work of nullahs using excavators to properly clear them CCB Additional Cantonment Executive Officer (ACEO) Naveed Nawaz said.

Speaking to the media he explained that the clean-up of nullahs, which started last month has been completed.

All available resources were utilised to save precious lives and properties of the citizens particularly those living near nullahs, he added.

Nawaz pointed out that the CCB sanitation branch removes garbage from 350 points daily using 19 vehicles, six compactors, two tractor trollies, two vehicles and five shovels.

Responding to another question he said, CCB has also introduced a rickshaw service for door-to -door garbage collection for Lalazar and New Lalazar areas.
