PPP’s inflated egos

Letter March 10, 2018
reappointment does not depend on how well one has performed in his or her capacity

HYDERABAD: On the one hand, the former chairperson of the Senate, Mian Raza Rabbani, has been widely acclaimed for his role as chairperson of the Senate, but, on the other, his party’s co-chairperson, Asif Ali Zaradri, has disapproved of his reappointment as the Senate chairperson. A positive comment from Nawaz Sharif was all it took for Zardari to denounce one among the very few astute and wise members of his party. This reinforces the fact that a reappointment does not depend on how well one has performed in his or her capacity but how well he or she has served the interests of the party.
