Luke Ronchi's brilliant knock helped Islamabad United thrash Karachi Kings in the 15th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition by eight wickets in Sharjah on Sunday.
After being put in to bat first, Kings posted a competitive total of 153 for six in their allotted 20 overs, courtesy half-centuries from opener Khurram Manzoor (51 off 41) and Babar Azam (55 off 53).
For United, all-rounder Faheem Ashraf was the star of the show with the bowl, as he claimed figures of three for 23.
In reply, United cruised to the target in the 18th over at the expense of just two wickets, courtesy breathtaking 71 off 37 from wicketkeeper-batsman Ronchi.
He was well supported by fellow opener JP Duminy, who remained unbeaten on 43 off 44 balls.
