Road accident: Three killed as van plunges into ravine

At least three people were killed and 10 others were injured

ISLAMABAD: At least three people were killed and 10 others were injured when a passenger van fell into a ravine on the outskirts of the capital on Thursday mornin .  The Bhara Kahu police said that 12 people were travelling in a Suzuki pick-up truck. The van fell off the road in Shahdara at around 8:30am. As a result, three people, including a teenager, were killed while nine others were injured. They were rushed to the Polyclinic and the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The deceased were identified as 15-year-old Ahad, 28-year-old Nawazish, and 40-year-old Murad. The injured were identified as Ikram, Junaid, Haroon, Muhammad Tanveer, Muhammad Ashfaq, Ashfaaq, Dilnawaz, Muhammad Aslam, and Zaheer. The van’s driver, Aqeel, was also injured in the accident.
