French cultural festival: ‘Francophonie 2011’

Students entertain audience with performances in literary and artistic activities, quiz and dramas.

The French cultural festival, ‘Francophonie 2011’ was celebrated with fervor by the students of National University of Modern Languages (NUML). Students showed their extraordinary skills and grasp over the French Language.


The festival arranged by French Language Department entertained the audience with students’ performances in literary and artistic activities, quiz and dramas. The students also presented skits and songs, representing Pakistani regional culture, along with on skits in French Language.

Cultural Counsellor French Embassy, Pierre Muller was the chief guest on the occasion while Rector NUML, Prof Dr Aziz Ahmad Khan, presided over the function accompanied by Director General NUML Brig Azam Jamal.

In his welcome address, the rector said that the French Department of NUML is one of the oldest departments of the university, that has made an extraordinary progress over the years.
