KU announces results of MA external examinations

Deadline extended for submission of online enrolment forms

The University of Karachi's (KU) controller of examinations has notified the results of the 2016 final external annual examinations for MA in Islamic history and Islamic studies.

In the examinations of Islamic history, 159 candidates appeared, of which 44 were declared successful, making the pass percentage 27.67%. The first three positions were secured by Muhammad Asif, Ayesha Abrar and Sadia Batool respectively.

In the Islamic studies' examinations, Iffat secured first position, while Ghufranul Haq and Sher Ali secured the second and third positions respectively. A total of 538 candidates appeared in the examinations, of which 407 were declared successful, resulting in a pass percentage of 75.65%.

The KU controller of examinations has also notified the results of the 2016 previous external annual examinations for MA in Islamic studies, international relations and political science. In the Islamic studies' examinations, 661 candidates appeared in total while 460 were declared successful, resulting in the a pass percentage of 69.59%.

A total of 191 candidates appeared in the political science' examinations, of which 140 were declared successful with the pass percentage of 73.3%. In international relations' examinations, 622 candidates out of 1,523 were declared successful, resulting in a pass percentage of 40.84%.

In the meantime, the acting admissions director of KU has notified that the varsity has extended the last day for submission of online enrolment forms and fees for bachelors and masters evening programme till tomorrow (Saturday).
