PCSA invites bids to insure its employees

LAHORE: The Punjab Safe City Authority had invited bidders for provision of health insurance services to 490 of its employees, 85 spouses of employees, 120 of their children and 600 of their parents.

It invited interested parties to submit their applications to Punjab Safe City Authority at Qila Gujjar Singh by February 9, 2018.

According to documents available with The Express Tribune, the health insurance included hospitalisation limits (inclusive of complete dependents) of Rs500,000.

At the same time, the limit for parents or dependents would be Rs250,000 with room rent of Rs10,000 and pre-hospitalisation diagnostic charges of 45 days.

The coverage included physician’s visit charges, specialist consultation (in-patient visit ) charges, intensive care unit (ICU) charges, miscellaneous hospital expenses, surgical operation charges, operation theatre charges, medicines & drugs (in-Patient), diagnostic tests, complete special diagnosis tests, as and when required, cancer treatment, daycare surgeries, all emergency treatment whether medical or accidental, fractures and lacerated wounds, blood and oxygen supplies, emergency dental treatment due to accidental injuries and dreaded diseases.

The aforementioned conditions would be covered in the hospitalisation limit without being confined to the hospital, according to documents.

The documents further stated that hospitalisation limits also included maternity (normal) of rupees 100,000, maternity (C-section) of Rs150,000 and outdoor patient diagnosis limits/family of Rs75,000.

The pool amount was up to Rs5 million, according to the document.

The documents further stated that PSCA has the right to change quantities or cancel the bid.

It further stated that complete services be provided as and when required without any conditions.

The services included health cards and e-health cards, major medical care (pre and post-hospitalisation), all types of surgeries (except of cosmetic nature), no limit on number of days of hospitalisation and hepatitis treatment.
