University of Turbat remembers Prof Raisani

VC says Raisani worked tirelessly for the promotion of institutions of higher education in the province.

QUETTA: A condolence reference was held on Wednesday in the University of Turbat to remember with gratitude the services rendered by the late Professor Dr Rasool Bakhsh Raisani for the promotion of education in Balochistan.

Speaking on the occasion, the Turbat University’s vice chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir extolled the professional capabilities of the deceased as well as the services rendered by him as a torch-bearer of education in Balochistan.

He said that Raisani worked tirelessly for the promotion of institutions of higher education in the province.

He said the late professor did not only contribute his services as a prominent scholar, but also played an effective role in reforming the education system.



According to Dr Sabir, the services rendered by the late professor for the progress of University of Balochistan and University of Turbat remain unforgettable.

Dean faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Prof Dr Abdul Saboor Baloch, Director Planning Muhammad Hayat, Chairman Commerce Department Abdul Majid Nasir, Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch and Deputy Controller Examinations Chakar Hyder also spoke on the occasion.

They expressed their sympathies with the family members of the deceased and paid tribute to the role which the late Raisani had played for the development of modern teaching methodology in the universities of Balochistan.

The condolence reference was attended by deans, chairpersons, faculty members and administrative staff of the university.
