KARACHI: Three people, including a police inspector, were injured during an anti-encroachment drive in Surjani Town on Friday. Police officials said that the situation turned violent when Karachi Development Authority officials reached the Saiful Marri Goth during an anti-encroachment drive, adding that residents staged a protest against the drive.

Police said that two residents and an inspector were injured during a clash after unidentified persons resorted to indiscriminate fire during the protest and scuffle.
