ISLAMABAD: To help resolve small cases, the police are pushing the conciliatory committee system, especially in the rural areas of the capital. SP-Rural Dr Mustafa Tanveer, while addressing participants of the conciliatory committees in the Rural Zone, said that the system was the best way to handle cases of minor nature since it helps police to focus their attention on more important tasks at hand. He gave the participants tips on how to improve their working efficiency and urged them to decide cases purely on merit and with honesty. “It would not only bring good repute for them [police] but also to ensure justice and peace in society,” Dr Tanveer said. The SP asked the participants to contact him in the event they come across any hurdle from the police. “It is our duty to stop corrupt practices and serve the people with dedication and honesty.”
