NAB to probe FATA anti-polio projects

PESHAWAR:  A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Brig (retd) Farooq Naser Awan, Director General NAB (K-P) for disposal of complaints lodged against corrupt individuals.

The meeting was attended by Directors, Additional Directors, Case Officers, Senior Legal Consultants and other officers.

A probe was authorized against officers of Directorate of Health Services, FATA and others regarding corruption & corrupt practices.

The subjects are alleged to have embezzled funds of Rs200 million worth projects for Polio Vaccination in FATA.

NAB to probe into Pakistan Steel Mills downfall

Another probe has been initiated against Officers of Police Department Bannu over corruption & corrupt practices. It is alleged that the subject have embezzled funds allocated for TADA of police personnel. Further, funds allocated for TADA were used to provide food to Police personnel.

A preliminary probe against Komail Khan (Private Person) for running a fake Modarabah business was also authorised.

An initial probe was also authorised against ZRK Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Peshawar Particle Board Industries (Pvt) Ltd and Alliance Wood (Pvt) Ltd regarding money laundering scams. They are alleged to have received loans without security and are interest free.

Director General NAB (K-P) Brig (retd) Farooq Naser Awan requested general public to join hands with NAB (K-P) for eradication of corruption from the province.
