KMU, WUS sign cooperation agreement

Both sides to exchange, train scientific and technical personnel

PESHAWAR: To improve collaboration in academic and research fields, the Khyber Medical University in Peshawar and the Women University in Swabi (WUS) signed an agreement on Wednesday.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Khyber Medical University (KMU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Arshad Javaid and Women University Swabi (WUS) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khanzadi Fatima Khattak on behalf of their institutions.

This agreement, which will be for 10 years, recognises that mutual scientific and technical co-operation will advance the state of science and technology within both partners and strengthen the technology infrastructure to benefit both institutions.

KMU and WUS will pursue programmes in academic, research, scientific and technical collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of mutual interest as agreed from time to time.

Both parties have agreed upon exchanging and training of scientific and technical personnel for teaching, research and development in the fields of pharmacy, psychology, epidemiology and biostatistics, botany, zoology, public health and other related fields pertaining to the interest of both parties.

Moreover, they will exchange students and faculty for scientific and technical collaboration in laboratory sciences as and when required by both the parties.
