With the establishment of specialised Dolphin Force, Peru, special protection unit, anti-rights force, CTD, special operation unit and riverine force, the overall efficiency has been improved of the department through which the force was deterring to all challenges. He said that the resources of IT in Punjab Police were equal to that with forces of developed countries. Similarly, welfare projects especially welfare Eye software of Lahore Police was being adopted by the Sindh Police after K-PK Police and its reputation was expanding in the other provinces as well.
Moreover, he said that refresher courses were being conducted in all ranges and districts in order to enhance professional skills of force. By this way, the officers and officials will keep them abreast with smart policing and modern techniques, he added. He expressed these views while addressing ASPs of 44th specialised training programme at CPO office. Establishment Additional IG Azhar Hameed Khokhar, Welfare and Finance Additional IG Muhammad Tahir, Investigation Additional IG Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh, D&I Additional IG Ejaz Hussain Shah and other officers concerned attended the event.
Punjab Operations Additional IG Amir Zulfiqar Khan, while briefing the ASPs of delegation, spoke on operational methods, collective situation of security, crimes, front desk, homicide unit, forensic lab, terrorism related challenges, IT reforms and other issues. He spoke on how terrorism and sectarianism was decreased after ensuring the policy of National Action Plan while actions taken by the Punjab Police in time had also reduced crimes of murder, ransom, dacoity and robbery in the province.
The members of the delegation asked questions related to police reforms with keen interest and paid visit to 8,787 complaint management center, front desk centralised monitoring room, control room, police information and media cell.
