Shahrah-E-Quaid-E-Azam: SED scouts manage traffic

Bakhsh asked the students to follow the golden principles of unity, faith and discipline

LAHORE: On the directions of Punjab School Education Secretary Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik, a smartly turned out contingent of scouts from a public sector school of Model Town performed duties of traffic wardens. Scouts managed the flow of traffic at Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Monday.

On the occasion, awareness pamphlets were distributed among the public by the scouts and Bakhsh asked the people to follow traffic rules. The scouts also sang national songs and paid rich tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

In his verbatim address, Bakhsh asked the students to follow the golden principles of unity, faith and discipline and emerge as socially responsible citizens to play a proactive role in the process of national development. The students must learn to follow traffic rules so as to adopt a responsible and law-abiding behavior on the roads, he added. District Education Authority Lahore CEO Zahid Bashir Goraya, Principal Rana Atta Muhammad and others were also present on the occasion.
