HYDERABAD: Functions organised at marriage halls in Hyderabad will have to conclude by 11pm. The police will also ensure strict enforcement of the ban on fireworks and aerial firing.

Hyderabad SSP Peer Muhammad Shah gave these directions to SHOs during a meeting on Monday. The SSP ordered the police to ensure immediate implementation of the closure timings of marriage halls and ban on fireworks and celebratory gunfire.

The SSP warned that he would take departmental action against the SHO of the area where the violation of any of the two regulations occurred.
