According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, light rain was reported from lower parts of Swat, Dir lower and Upper, Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Bajaur and Kurram Agency whereas second spell of snowfall was reported from Chitral, Parachanar and Kalam.
The Met department has predicted rainfall until Tuesday. With rain in parts of K-P, the provincial disaster management authority has also issued alerts asking the authorities concerned to remain vigilant as well as take necessary steps to avoid any loss of life/damage to public and private property.

“The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that a westerly wave is expected to enter Pakistan from Sunday that will produce rain with snow fall over the hills from Sunday to Tuesday,” a letter issued by the PDMA read.
It stated that rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in K-P from Sunday, adding snowfall is predicted in Murree and Galyat.
“All concerned are requested to take necessary precautionary measures to avoid loss of life or damage to public and private property,” it added.
The mercury has dropped to minus three in Parachanar, minus two in Chitral and Kalam and minus one degree centigrade was reported from district Dir.
