The actor revealed that she was attacked for a blog post regarding the sexual harassment situation on why she doesn't mention any names. She replied, "If you give me pension for life, take care of my safety, my family, ensure I’ll continue to get work in films and TV and that my career will grow after I name and shame somebody, then sure I will."

The Fukrey actor believes that the film industry lacks a proper system that would provide security to the victims.

“Every time someone speaks there are repercussions. Whoever is speaking out, people are like ‘oh you’ve to name and shame.’ Every time we take a step, there is a backlash. The ecosystem and the structure of the industry needs to change. We don’t have royalties here for actors and in the absence of proper legislations, no one is willing to take the risk," claimed Richa.

To switch off from all the negativity, the 30-year-old actor sometimes avoid watching the news. She added that she speaks up about things close to her heart, but can get very emotional as things happening around the world tend to affect her a lot.

Richa is currently excited about the feedback she is getting on Fukrey Returns. "I always heard that in a screenplay, if other people are praising a character even before it has arrived, it is a good sign. My character in the film is very unapologetic and has no limitations on behaving a certain way just because she is a woman. And I believe that this is very empowering."
