The ambassador further added that greater cooperation between the US and Pakistani corporate sectors would generate jobs and prosperity for both countries.

Senator Booker agreed on the need for closer cooperation between the two countries in bilateral domain as well as for peace and stability in the region.

Aizaz Chaudhry had previously urged Kabul to cooperate with Islamabad and address the issue of terrorism. The ambassador insisted that the presence of terrorists in Afghanistan was causing problems for Pakistan.

Ruling out the presence of terrorist safe havens on Pakistani soil earlier in September, Aizaz reiterated that Pakistan would like the support of Afghanistan and the US to wipe out the menace of terrorism in a bid to maintain peace in the region.
