NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said on Wednesday.
Addressing at saying farewell ceremony for the NAB Accountability Prosecutor General Waqas Qadeer Dar, he said that the accountability body would adhere to the prescribed timeline for filing references in courts — within 10 months from receiving complaints to filing cases in the courts.
He said that he himself will be monitor progress of references in various courts.

Moreover, he said that the current 76 per cent conviction ratio of NAB references would be improved by ensuring transparency, merit, presenting sufficient evidence and flawless investigations to end white collar crimes.
Referring to the cases of private housing societies, cooperative societies, he said that these were in litigation at various courts for years.
Government servants and pensioners have been deprived of their lifelong earnings despite receiving money. Masses are deeply perturbed due to this fraud with them, he added.
In this regards, Justice Iqbal directed NAB to conclude cases as early as possible. He further directed officers to perform their duties in accordance with the law.
