Tableeghi Ijtama: Traffic police chalk out concrete plan

LAHORE: City Traffic Police Lahore have prepared a plan to maintain the flow of traffic at the end of second phase of Tableeghi Ijtama.

Chief Traffic Police Officer Rai Ijaz Ahmad said that according to the plan, all the roads leading towards to Raiwind City will become one-way after the end of “Ikhtamami Dua”. The aim is to ensure that no traffic congestion arises. A special traffic response unit has been launched for the occasion.

First phase: Raiwind Tablighi ijtema begins today

According to plan, traffic on Lahore-Raiwind Road from Pajjian Mor to Qizalbash chowk motorway, Bhombtian Chowk to Mohalanwal, Sundar Road to Sundar Ada Multan Road, Raiwind Manga Road, Kot Radha Kishan Road and Sui Asal Road will be allowed to flow in just one direction.

At the conclusion of Ijtama, motorcycle and rickshaw stands will be evacuated first of all. Afterwards, van stands as well as truck and bus depots will be cleared in the final stage.

Rai Ijaz Ahmad said that any commuter wishing to go to Raiwind City can use Ferozpur Road to Lalliyani Road, Chungi Amar Sadhu to Rakh Chand Rai and Gawala Colony Haloki to Jodhu Railway Crossing.
