KARACHI: The Sindh government cancelled on Saturday tests conducted on October 22 by the National Testing Service (NTS) following widespread protests by candidates who took the pre-entry test for admission into MBBS programmes in medical colleges and universities in Sindh.

According to a notification issued by the health department, the NTS test in public sector universities has been cancelled on the recommendation of an inquiry committee constituted with the approval of the chief minister on October 26. "The committee has submitted its report, which reveals anomalies in the process of conducting the tests," said a health department official. The question papers were leaked a day before the test, added the official.
