How ‘Ainak Wala Jin’ lost everything in making sequel of hit TV series

“Idrees was a great man, enriched with talent. His first project Aik Dhi Punjab Di was a hit film in which he worked with renowned actress Anjuman. He was a sincere person within this industry and at a time when film producers were avoiding any kind of investment in the industry, he decided to finance projects in this business and went on to create Champion,” said senior director Altaf Hussain.

He continued, “There aren’t many people who have the courage to invest just for the sake of the industry. However, Idrees did this and his absence is truly a great loss. I am sure, without a doubt, his upcoming film will be a success.”

Feel nostalgia take over — the Ainak Wala Jin is back!

As well as producing the Kaifi helmed Aik Dhi Punjab Di as his first film, Adil was also seen on screen in the lead role for that film. After the success of this film, he went on to produce many others, along with TV shows, which included Hum Teen, Chaudharani and Comedy Clinic.

Writer Perviz Kaleem also had nothing but kind words for Adil, “Idrees was an honest man and his death gave us all a big shock, which is irreparable. As well as being the director, he was also the writer for the film Champion.

“He invested in this film and decided to release it at a time when there are bigger films coming out and there is a lot of competition. The film industry has lost a talented person who had a bright career ahead of him,” he concluded.
