ISLAMABAD: Staff of National Commission of Human Development (NCHD) has called of its strike after their demands were fulfilled, a representative of the commission told the Senate Special Committee on Marginalised Segments of Society.

Briefing the committee he stated that from next year (2018-19) they would get budget of the whole year at once so the problem of delayed salaries would be resolved.

He informed that following the appointment of Director General Samina Waqar, the commission was working to define pay structure properly and this issue would also be decided soon. Currently almost 6,500 teachers are employed at the pay role of NCHD and they have prepared a PC-I to ensure their wages according to the minimum wages announced in budget and after its approval it would be implemented, he said.
