Some QAU students continue protest
The action saw police pick over 60 students, mainly aligned with the Baloch Students Council
ISLAMABAD:
The Baloch students of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) continued their protest demanding restoration of their expelled and rusticated fellows. Nearly three weeks after some protesting students forced QAU to close, police finally intervened to forcibly remove the last pocket of resistance from the campus earlier this week and restore academic activities. The action saw police pick over 60 students, mainly aligned with the Baloch Students Council, from their protest camps and shifted them to different police stations. The university syndicate, taking disciplinary action, had expelled and rusticated some students following clashes in April.
