KARACHI: With Diwali taking Bollywood by storm, it was obvious that all the A-listers would do their very best to celebrate en vogue. From Kareena Kapoor Khan playing on 'Nawabi' vibes to Jacqueline Fernandez going all firework-red, this year's festivities most definitely made waves.

Exuding royalty to perfection, Bollywood’s bebo lived up to her post-wedding title ‘Begum of Pataudi’. Dressed in a kaamdani short kameez coupled with a beige gharara, the starlet carried her dupatta with the utmost grace. The emerald green jewels added just the right amount of colour to make her stand out from afar. While we really couldn’t get our eyes off this Tarun Tahiliani number – perfectly complemented with hubby Saif Ali Khan’s maroon sherwani – Saifeena gave us major couple goals for the star-studded Diwali night.

Who wore it better? Alia Bhatt or Hailee Steinfeld

Hottie alert! The Kick star looked red hot in Pakistani fashion designer Faraz Manan’s ensemble. Her outfit featured a halter-neck blouse with detailed gold embellishments. Needless to say, the diva was all smiles for the shutterbugs! The sari bragged intricate embroidery all over, coupled with sequinned work, permeating a contemporary panache. It was an eclectic mix of avant-garde and traditional.

Festive in fashion: Best looks from Diwali 2016

B-town’s favourite fashionista made a statement in not one, but two different looks – both by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. While we did fancy the cut-out sleeves white sari, we feel the lengha choli she opted for was a more suitable choice for the occasion. The block-printed lengha featuring hues of blue, beige and pink surely led the pack. Smokey eyes, a high bun festooned with gajras and traditional gold jewellery completed her look.

Rani Mukerji

Her outfit was not our favourite of the night – but, one thing is for sure; Rani knows how to dress for her age. Simple yet sophisticated, the actor was garbed in a vivid pink outfit that comprised a lengthy kurta and a complementing block-printed ghagra. It was all teamed with signature Indian jewellery. The Hyderabadi Saath Lara paired with a teeka was a sure-fire stand-out.
