LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that politics based on concocted allegations and deceit had not succeeded in the past, nor will they in future.

He expressed these views while talking to members of the National Assembly who called on him. The MNAs who met with the CM included Ch. Khadim Hussain, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Sahibzada Faizul Hassan and others.

Hamza Shahbaz calls for ending politics of confrontation

“The people of Pakistan have fully recognised the elements which are making a world record number of U-turns on every occasion. The precious time of the nation has been wasted through sit-ins without any reason.”

He said that had the sit-in group realised certain facts, many energy projects would have been completed today. The CM stated people planning to impede the journey of development had been politically isolated as the nation had realised these elements were the opponents of development.

If Sharif convicted, Shehbaz will be PML-N candidate for PM slot

“The people of Pakistan cannot be deceived by hollow slogans,” he added. The CM said the government of PML-N had selflessly served the people. He said his party’s politics were based on service, honesty, trust, and transparency.
