ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference said result-oriented talks are not possible in the current situation in Indian-held Kashmir, KMS reported on Sunday.
In an executive meeting of the APHC in Srinagar, the leaders said they were not against dialogue while stressing that workable situation was imperative in resolving the conflict.
The executive members said India was morally-bound to create conducive situation to resolve the dispute. "There is no let-up in suppression and oppression, abated arrests of youth and leadership, prolong detention, character assassination through Indian media and Indian National Investigation Agency."

In his presidential address, Syed Ali Geelani reiterated the APHC "not averse to negotiations, however, we believe that only tripartite talks can prove conclusive." He observed that peace, stablity and development of South Asia was connected with resolution of Kashmir dispute.
The Hurriyat Executive Council also condemned arrest of Hurriyat chief spokesperson Ghulam Ahmad Gulzan, warning that even the worst kind of oppression will not break the resolve of Kashmiris.
