Selling Standards: Banning sale of substandard food

District Coordination Officer bans the sale of ice-balls, rotten fruit and contaminated ice cream and beverages.

JHANG/ FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Jhang Muhammad Shahid Niaz under Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) banned the sale of ice-balls, rotten fruit and contaminated ice cream and beverages in the district.

Niaz said that several health inspectors had been deployed in the district to check the sale of the banned items and that anyone caught selling substandard goods would be arrested. The order has come into force with immediate effect.
